This is one of two works commissioned by King’s College, Cambridge for ‘Something out there where’, Samuel Beckett in dialogue with King’s College Chapel, a multi-media event over the course of six days in early November 2015, planned and curated by two fellows of King’s, Peter de Bolla and Christopher Prendergast. The nine projected images of the soles of feet which make up the work relate to the nine steps paced backwards and forwards throughout Beckett’s play Footfalls. The second work contributed to the event by David Ward, Noises Off, Sound Installation 2015, could be heard as the audience entered the Chapel.
